1. Local File Processing

Rekan PDF's key innovation is the use of WebAssembly technology, which allows all PDF modifications (such as compression, merging, splitting, and more) to be performed locally inside your browser's memory.

• No uploads: Your files are never sent across the internet to any third-party server.
• Absolute privacy: Only you have access to your files. Once you close the browser tab, the temporary memory is immediately cleared without a trace.

2. Information We Collect

Because our service does not require account registration, we do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.

We only use standard third-party services (such as Google Analytics) to collect anonymous, non-personal statistical information to improve the quality of the website. That data includes:

• The type of browser and operating system used.
• Which pages are visited most often.
• The average time users spend on our website.

3. Advertising, Cookies, and Analytics

To cover operational costs so the service can remain free, Rekan PDF displays ads from Google AdSense, Google's advertising service. This section openly explains how advertising and cookies work on our site, in line with Google's requirements for ad publishers.

Google advertising cookies. Google and third-party vendors use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your previous visits to Rekan PDF and to other sites on the internet. This information is technical in nature and does not include the contents of any files or documents you process on Rekan PDF, because those files never leave your device.

Google Analytics uses its own cookies and processes data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on in your browser.

You are in control. You can set your browser to reject all cookies or to alert you whenever a cookie is sent. Disabling cookies may cause some site features to work less than optimally, but all of our PDF tools will remain usable.

4. Links to Third Parties

Our website may contain links to external websites that we do not operate. We strongly recommend that you review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, policies, or privacy practices of any third-party site.

5. Your Rights over Your Data

We do not store your personal data on our servers, because this service does not require account registration and all file processing takes place on your device. Regarding the anonymous statistical data collected through third-party services (such as Google Analytics):

• Right of access: You have the right to know what types of statistical data are collected about your visit.
• Right to object: You can reject cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics tracking through the available browser add-on.
• Right to erasure: because we do not store your personal data, there is no personal data on our side that needs to be deleted. For data stored by third parties, please refer to each third party's privacy policy.
